Helheim, the realm of death for the Asgardian Goddess Hel, from the fantasy series Tales of a Bounty Hunter

In the vast cosmos of the Planet of the Gods, grandeur and horror exist side by side. While Asgard shines with the breathtaking majesty of the Rainbow Bridge and the glorious halls of Valhalla, its deepest quadrant conceals a far darker domain: Helheim, a distinct dimension accessed directly through the personal chambers of the Asgardian Goddess Hel.

The Path through Blood and Flesh Helheim is not merely a place of punishment; it is a living nightmare designed to test the absolute limits of anyone brave enough to enter. The outer edge of the realm is bounded by a shore composed entirely of slippery, stacked corpses. Here, a sea of pure blood crashes against the dead land, soaking everything in crimson and making every step a struggle for balance.

Beyond the shoreline lies a barren stretch of burnt ash, leading to the realm’s central fortress—a structure that is as agonizing as it is horrifying. The castle itself is built from living human bodies bound and strangled by giant serpents. The relentless moans and screams of these trapped souls form an unbearable wall of sound, creating an atmosphere of pure despair before one even steps through the gates.

Inside the Citadel of the Goddess The horrors of Helheim continue within its walls. Potent serpent venom steadily drips from the ceilings and trickles down structural pillars, burning like acid and forcing travelers to dodge every falling drop.

At the heart of this dark sanctuary stands a life-sized statue of Hel. Depicted as a two-faced entity—half living flesh with flowing hair, half exposed skeletal bone—she clutches the Book of Death tightly against her chest.

A Gateway to Cosmic Truths Despite its terrifying nature, Helheim holds profound secrets crucial to the fate of the universe. Touching the Book of Death triggers vivid, dimension-spanning visions, pulling the traveler into a void of darkness where ancient mysteries are revealed—including the glowing silver dagger and the seven blood-drawn heptagons.

When Ramiel journeyed into the depths of Asgard searching for answers about time, he realized that facing the horrors of Helheim was unavoidable. To save the worlds above, one must sometimes gather every ounce of courage and walk through the absolute worst of hell to reach the other side.
