Uncovering the Mysteries of Dinneilea: A Guide to the Planet's History

Writer: Athena StamelouAthena Stamelou

The fictional planet of Dinneilea, a member of the Syndicate of the five planets from the book trillogy 'Tales of a Bounty Hunter'

The planet Dinneilea is a key member of the Syndicate of the Five Planets, which opposed the Time Lords' tyranny. It is also locked in an endless war with the neighboring planet Larth. Although the original cause of the conflict is forgotten by the general populace, deep-seated animosity persists between the two planets.

In the past, during one of the battles, chemical weapons from both Dinneilea and Larth collided near their shared moon, causing a blast that geologically altered both worlds. Larth turned into a frost planet, while Dinneilea became radioactive. To survive, the inhabitants of Dinneilea constructed their cities within sturdy glass domes to shield themselves from the radiation.

Dinneilea claims to be governed democratically, but this is only nominally true. The ruling council is made up of Five Houses. Of these, only House Ivar is chosen by popular vote. The other Houses are House Drax, responsible for planetary defense; House Oran, representing religion; House Nour, comprised of scientists; and House Zaem, overseeing the justice system.

The five ruling Houses, despite their democratic facade, are deeply corrupt. They are aware that the true reason for the war with Larth is the fuel located on their shared moon. Moreover, they have committed crimes against their own people by cloning themselves for generations and altering the populace's minds to keep this secret hidden.
